SPEC's scope included the design, detailed engineering, fabrication and commissioning of a complete 100 tonne a day LPG production, storage and loading facility for Platform Petroleum at Umutu, Delta State.
Scope of supply: skid-mounted three-phase production separator, vapour recovery and booster compressor, inlet compressor, molecular sieve dehydration unit, JT valve LPG facility with de-ethaniser, de-propaniser and debutaniser, flare systems, instrument air, fuel gas conditioning, DCS automation, condensate flash tank and two condensate transfer pump skids.
SPEC later carried out the revamp and optimisation of the same plant for Gas Train Ltd; see the Egbaoma LPG plant revamp project.
